If there's one word that could perfectly describe Vania and Andra, it would be effortless. "We didn't even want a pre-wedding shoot in the first place, but finally agreed to do it just for the sake of keeping memories. Luckily Andra and I are very simple so we easily agreed on every option," Vania shared. With 3 days to prepare the shoot, the couple decided to honor their ancestral roots by wearing traditional Solo and Minang attires. "My mother wanted that Andra and I wore the exact same clothes with the one she wore my parents got married," Vania added.
The couple also didn't look very far for the shoot location and did it at the house of Andra's aunt. With David Christover behind the lens, the photo results turned out artistic, timeless and simple, just like what the couple had wanted. "David really helped to set the mood and made us feel comfortable during the shots. It was like taking photos with a friend," Vania shared. She then added, "It was wonderful to get compliments on these photos. Even with effortless preparation, David made it look so beautiful."
Perhaps the only thing that wasn't effortless about the couple was their relationship. During 2 years of dating, Andra kept convincing Vania who didn't plan on getting married anytime soon, to finally receive his hand in marriage. During a concert trip to Japan, Andra proposed to Vania at Universal Studios before the Hogwarts Castle. Many might choose to do it in Disneyland, but as Vania is a Harry Potter freak, Andra thought it would be fitting to do it there. "It was drizzling and everyone was looking. I was really embarrassed but it was indeed romantic and he picked the perfect spot!"
