Exactly a year after Christian went down on his knee to Kat at Venice, the lovebirds decided to make it official through an intimate celebration framed in the best of Balinese tropical surroundings in Uluwatu.
The feast began with an Indian-Balinese prewedding party at Stone House of Tirtha Uluwatu which is situated on the hilltop and offers a breath-taking Indian Ocean's view. Blessed with a sunny weather, the ethnic decoration was adorned with colorful flowers accent and fruit arrangements. Indonesian comfort food wrapped in traditional display, Indian dance performance, to henna service for women were all the comfort and treats for the guest from dusk until evening.
The bride and groom also appeared vibrant in colors. Kat wore a gagra choli in pink, yellow and gold, while Christian looked gallant in champagne and navy colored sherwani.
The next day's holy matrimony was indeed romantic and touchy. With a classic lace dress in brownish champagne color by Inbal Dror, Kat came flawless with loose hair and a subtle dewy make-up. Christian balanced her elegance through a bold look in dark green velvet suit by Francis Libiran. The dramatic architecture of Tirtha Uluwatu Glass Chapel added the romanticism of this holy ceremony.
Contrasting with the prewedding party which was held vibrantly, White Affair theme was chosen to represent Christian and Kat's dinner reception. Organized by Lucky Nine Bali, the 4-course menu with wine pairing was surrounded by baby breath chandelier and sparkling lamps. However, it was the wedding cake which stole the attention. Even though classic atmosphere was everywhere, Christian and Kat trusted in Naked Patisserie to create a four-tier coconut cake with donuts and rosemary in an obviously modern and fresh design.
After the dinner, the guests were welcomed to enjoy Moonlight Garden and relax on a lounging corner which was decorated with Japanese bamboo. Or, they could dance right away and enjoyed the music with the available white flip-flops for those who preferred to set aside their party shoes for a while. Of course the ballad maestro performed his gold voice along with several Pinoy singer-friends. Then came the surprise. Kat, who has been secretly practicing her vocal for four months, presented a song to her husband while also playing ukulele.
