Yessa and Miguel met during a picnic in Central Park, New York, where the both of them lived in 2009. As love always finds its way, the couple finally tied the knot just recently in an intimate wedding celebration at the luxurious Semara Luxury Villa Resorts in Bali. Looking at how stunning the wedding was, we were eager to know about the idea behind it. When asked, the beautiful bride explained straightaway that they actually didn't have any specific theme in mind. They just wanted to focus on highlighting the jaw-dropping cliffside view and aimed for a friendly, whimsical ambience that would sweep away their guests off their feet. To achieve that, the decoration was set up simply with a palette of pristine white. The ceremony was a lovely affair, adorned with baby's breath flowers while the reception was decorated using hanging copper Edison bulbs to further enhance the already magical night.
Intimate weddings always leave us deeply moved, and the moment when the couple's loved ones gave out speeches was Yessa's favorite. Yessa and Miguel veered away from the traditional and overused practices during the ceremony and reception to keep the wedding fresh and contemporary. Everything she requested from her wedding vendors were perfectly done, just like how she had always dreamed of. It made us curious, how could she have done it all so flawlessly? She told us that she chose her vendors based on their past work and style. When she found ones that matched her own sense of style, she contacted them and immediately explained her non-traditional request and without questioning anything.
Just like her wedding, Yessa's dress was a triumph in stunning minimalism. Entrusting the dress to Ivarluski Aseron, a Filipino designer, she specifically had three requests: no beads, no lace, no corset. With those requirements, the dress turned out gorgeously. It had a clean look with linear straps on the back and geometric paneling on the train. When worn, the shadows from the train gave a lively texture to the dress, which succeeded to make it even more fabulous.
Planning such a memorable wedding certainly, one will face some hitches along the way. It was no small feat especially for Yessa, as she had to plan three wedding events consecutively. The first one was held two weeks before this one and the last event is a post-wedding reception in Manila three weeks after. To avoid feeling overwhelmed by endless things to do, Yessa started planning a year ahead and thankfully, the entire planning did not cause any meltdowns. With not so easy tasks like that, she has absolutely done a marvelous job. Throughout the wedding day, she felt quite relaxed as she realized that the wedding must go on in spite of any problems. Instead of stressing about every single detail, she allowed herself to enjoy all the hard work she had put into planning the wedding. At the end of the day, what mattered to her most was how she was going to marry her best friend, witnessed by her loved ones, and nothing else is more important than that.

Some useful wedding planning suggestions from the experienced bride:
Do not scrimp on the food, alcohol, music and venue because these are elements that your guests will remember the most. Hire a good wedding coordinator that you can trust completely to take care of the small details for you; they'll make your life so much easier! Instead of waiting for the small to-do's to pile up, finish them as soon as you can to get them out of the way.
