Mel Orlina has become known for her flattering and detailed designs. After studying in London's famed Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design Mel set out to incorporate her knowledge through her bridal designs.
She discovered an opportunity in the market from bridal robes. Since robes are generally used by the bride during the preparation stages – think hair and makeup on the big day, robes can provide comfort and protection whilst still looking great.
CouCou came out of consistent requests for bridal robes before and even after getting married. The brand aims to reinterpret the "dressing gown" that brides usually wear before her wedding day through artful designs and thoughtfully constructed wear for both day and night. Coucou is for women with strong personalities who are unabashedly feminine.
