“We’re only looking to tie the knot in the later part of 2016. My fiancé is quite superstitious and wants to seek two different opinions before we confirm our dates. After that I can source for a suitable venue. I love clean romantic settings with a blush, ivory or gold palette, and a location with historical architecture like The Fullerton Hotel or Fort Canning Park Hotel. Décor doesn’t have to be over-the-top; I just need a nice outdoor area for the solemnisation, a photobooth, as well as lots of flowers like roses, eustomas, calla lilies and hydrangeas for a romantic European feel. There are tonnes of inspirational photos on Pinterest but many are not suited for our weather and the dreamy venues don’t exist here. I’m not the sort to travel to buy a gown overseas; I’ve already shortlisted a few local boutiques to visit and can't wait to try on the gowns. I don’t think I’ll hire a wedding planner because I’m a pretty chill bride and there isn’t much to plan is there (laughs)?”
