For today's featured styled shoot, Joshua de Guzman of Project JDG Photo drew inspiration from weddings in California and Australia. "Light and airy tones have become really popular in the Philippines lately. I wanted to do something different and introduce our signature style through moody colors and higher contrasts," said Joshua.
Joshua translated the idea into a mood board filled with a particular set of colors and decorative elements. "Our main color palette revolved around blue, gold, rose gold, and burgundy; an edgy yet sophisticated combination," he said. Instead of the usual tall centerpieces, candles and geometric elements in gold adorned the entire setting. Bold red and white flowers also added a wonderful contrast to the blue and gold shades. They minimized the use of flowers and added a greenery centerpiece instead as the focal point on top the blue table linen.
The bride herself looked elegant in a white off-the-shoulder gown and a beaded blue dress. Her makeup looked simple, yet glamorous thanks to the red lipstick that paired well with the burgundy flowers around her. Meanwhile, the groom had on a gray suit before changing into a dapper tuxedo.
If you find yourself falling for these refreshing wedding ideas, don't forget to add your favorite photos to the inspiration board!
