During their trip to Gorontalo to hold their wedding reception, Annie and Timur made time to conduct a unique and distinctive photo shoot. "We have long wanted to do a photo session in Gorontalo, which is the city of my ancestors. The concept is to explore the city while introducing it to my husband at the same time," Annie explained.
With the concept, Annie chose photo spots that showcased the essence of Gorontalo such as Saronde Island and the fish market. "We also took some photos at the fortress and at the river across my home," Annie shared. It turns out, the most well-planned part of the whole shoot was actually the one they did at home. "As newlyweds, we stayed at a special home which became the first place we started our life together. Which is why we wanted to capture the first days of us living in the house and keep the photos as an immortal reminder," Annie said.
The album was deliberately made to resemble a diary by the photographer, Anton Ismael. This was done to create a personal touch to the album. Despite having to get up very early every day as Gorontalo sun was already too hot for taking photos at 9 am, Annie admitted to having such a wonderful time working with Anton Ismael and his team. "Out of all the photo sessions and processions we did for the wedding, this one is our favorite. Everything about it."
