With so many memories at the Island of Gods, it wasn't so surprising when Windy and Wahyu admitted they admired the vision of having a wedding in Bali with classic and intimate concept. Hosting a destination wedding made so much sense since both lovebirds enjoyed a celebration surrounded by nature, which certainly was difficult to find in their hometown, Jakarta.
When their dream of hosting a destination wedding was finally realized, their next task was to search for the dream venue. Windy revealed that she adored French-style architecture, so it was very natural to fall in love with Rumah Luwih. With the help of the wedding conceptor Flying Bride and decorator, Rose and Willow, their wedding day was arranged in an all-white hues filled with fragrant flowers, such as lily. The groom who works as a contractor also gave a personal touch on that special day. The beachfront venue was enhanced with an additional construction as a backdrop for the ceremonial procession, as well as the dance floor at their reception.
Yefta Gunawan's craftmanship also highlighted the bride's elegance. Windy asked the designer to form a 4-in-1 look due to the family tradition which required Windy not to take off her wedding attire. Thus, the designer crafted such a versatile outfit to be worn throughout the entire occasion. "I won't ever forget how beautiful the lace on the edge of my veil. It was designed according to the laser cut detail on the invitation," reminisced the bride. The touch of lilac and beige in the family and closest friends' attire was also seen to emphasize the overall wedding aesthetic.
As a newlywed, Windy was excited to share tips for the future brides, especially for those who are planning to host a seated dinner reception. Windy suggested that brides should be more selective when choosing main course menu that can be favored by most of the guests, and don't hesitate to talk to the caterer to make sure all food can be served as soon as possible while it's still warm. She also added how brides should check local weather when it comes to outdoor weddings, so that guests can comfortably attend the procession. "During our ceremonial procession, I didn't expect that the sun shone so brightly that it made our guests hesitated to sit on the designated chairs. That's why, it's important to discuss about timing when planning an outdoor celebration like this," concluded the bride.
