After their initial meeting three years ago, things escalated quickly for model slash actress Aline Adita and James Midgley. "Indah Kalalo introduced us, we were all in Bali for a friend's wedding," she reminisced. As James is a businessman based in Papua New Guinea, the couple inevitably had to go through long-distance relationship, which was a blessing in disguise for Aline. She shared, "I was very busy at that time and would've had a hard time squeezing in schedules to meet him. Luckily, James was also very supportive, trusting and thank God for technology as well!"
Following a simple and sweet wedding proposal, the couple went on to planning their destination wedding in the city they first met, Bali. The venue they picked was Jeeva Saba, a luxury resort in Gianyar. "This place was far from tourists and so private as there were no other big resorts around it. The resort is very homey, welcoming, had only good vibes and its layout was spectacular," Aline said. To beautify the wedding venue, the couple enlisted help from Bali Event Styling, who utilized greenery, white flowers and wooden elements to make an enchanting set up.
And to plan the whole celebratory occasion, this couple was assisted by their wedding planners, Hilda and Bali Dream Day. "All my closest friends know that I'm a control freak and very detailed when it comes to work and organizing an event, especially my own wedding. Luckily I was introduced to Bali Dream Day, who works smartly and also quickly. Couldn't have done all of this without them!" Aline said.
