Keong Wee and Vicky fused their love for nature and design in a tranquil outdoor celebration at the grassy knoll of The Rocks at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore. As you can imagine, the seafront affair was simply dreamy with raw and organic details that offered a beatiful contrast to the golden glow of the setting sun and calm waters in the background.
Both architects with a penchant for the colour green, they worked with wedding planner Weiwei from Chere Weddings & Parties to turn the garden venue into a tropical-themed celebration using large balmy leaves, fern, driftwood and white orchids. The only proper flowers used were dusty pink peonies found in the bride's hand bouquet and roses on the tiered wedding cake.
They exchanged vows at sunset under a big raintree filled with streamers, and hosted an intimate dinner for family and friends under the stars with twinkling fairy lights hanging above them. Resident band Polka Dot and Moonbeam entertained the crowd, accompanied by the sounds of waves gently crashing the shore.
The held a more formal reception the following night at The Westin Singapore. The tables adopted the same tropical theme with giant centrepieces of lush greens and driftwood embellished with mini figurines taken from the couple's collection. Vicky wore a different gown with the same lace overlay she wore on Day One, which gave her a fresh new look, while maintaining the same elegance.
