Viandra and Edward's lavish floral-themed wedding might be surprising for some, especially for those who have known them during their emo-kid phase. "We both used to like emo and hardcore music, like big time. In fact, one of my most favorite bands was New Found Glory," recalled Viandra. Even so, her love for flowers seems to overcome all. "I am a sucker for flowers. So when preparing my wedding, I wasn't too fussy with what wedding theme I'm going with. When I met the decorators, I told them I wanted anything nice, flowery, elegant, classy and not over-the-top. As a reference, I showed them the wedding photo of Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel that had all kinds of roses covering the backdrop," she quipped.
With the spring-like color palette and floral arrangements as well as the authenticity of a traditional wedding, their celebration couldn't be more mesmerizing. "Everything makes it special, but the speeches from our closest friends, especially from my dear sister, were highlights of the night. They all ruined my mascara as I cried so much like a baby!" she reminisced. Another favorite moment of hers involves her dad, but it wasn't the father-daughter dance or when they walked down the aisle together. "I got to watch my father took the sage and performed songs with his all-time favorite band, Gugun and The Blues Shelter! It was so endearing to me," Viandra gushed.
Planning the perfect traditional Javanese wedding in around eight months was not an easy feat. "It's never smooth and easy to prepare something that only happens once is a lifetime. I had my bumps here and there, juggling between wedding planning and working. But every pain and tears I endured is all worth it in the end," she recalled. She then added, "The preparation can be tiring and frustrating, but you will get to meet a bunch of great people that will ensure that you have the most amazing day of your life. So enjoy it! As for me, I feel so blessed to have experienced such a beautiful wedding. "
