Sylvia and Tirto both liked to add their own twist into things, such as for their pre-wedding album where they brought up the theme of modern heritage. The same can be said about their wedding. They could have done a basic white dress and tux ceremony in a ballroom, but they chose otherwise. The couple thought, why not be surrounded in our country's beautiful, nature's richness? And that's how they ended celebrating their eternal love amidst paddy fields in Ritz Carlton Mandapa, Ubud.
As a perfectionist, turning her ideal wedding into reality was a challenge for Sylvia. The day of the wedding, therefore, became one of the most nerve-wrecking experiences that she's ever had. "I was so scared that it was going to rain, because we didn't put up tents since it will ruin the beautiful decoration," recalled Sylvia. Nevertheless, it was unexpectedly very sunny during the day, which made the outdoor holy matrimony ceremony successful.
Even though nature provided scenic views, Ailuosi kicked it up a notch with their elegant decoration using rustic elements. Iluminen captured every perfect moment, including the moment Sylvia stepping out in the most gorgeous wedding dress by Hian Tjen to join her bridesmaids in the garden. Other significant moments that was captured include an emotional moment when Sylvia was handed to Tirto by her father, and the festive dinner accompanied by fireworks to celebrate the union of these two lovebirds.
Before wrapping up her story on her wedding day, Sylvia had a useful piece of advise for all the brides-to-be out there. "First of all, if you're going to have a ceremony outdoors, have tents no matter what," said Sylvia whilst laughing, since her reception had to be moved indoors due to the downpour after the holy matrimony. "Second, don't get to stressed out about the preparation. The preparation for your marriage matters more than your wedding day."
