Yien and Kenneth first met in church. "We were attending different cell groups that eventually merged, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other better," said the lovely bride-to-be. One night after a romantic dinner, Yien, who is an ophthalmologist by training, had the surprise of her life after reading an eye chart that spelled out, "Will you marry me?" inside a room decorated with flowers and electric candles.
After that memorable moment, the pair went on a journey to Japan to have their pre-wedding photo shoot. "We felt that we wouldn't fully enjoy having a session in Singapore given the warm temperature and humidity," Yien explained. "Aside from that, we really liked the photos of Mount Fuji and Hakone we saw online. Plus, Kenneth loves sashimi and Japanese food!" said the beautiful bride-to-be.
They started the photo shoot with rainy and gloomy weather, but luckily there were fleeting moments when the sun rays peeked out from the clouds. "We had to exercise a lot patience, holding poses while the photographers waited for the perfect moment to snap," recalled Yien. However, the rainy weather did not come without perks. "It led to interesting photos of us holding transparent Japanese umbrellas," she said.
