Ailyn and Steven first met during a church activity back in college. "We've been together for six years now, and our nuptials will happen in this coming October," said the happy bride-to-be. Interestingly, the wedding date came three years earlier than scheduled. "I've always told Steven that my ideal age to get married is 30, and I still have three more years to go," she explained. Little she did know, Steven had something up his sleeve.
"One day when we were visiting Melbourne, he arranged a pampering and shopping trip for me. I had a manicure and even bought a new dress and heels. Finally, he gave me three cakes and asked me to blow out the candles, as if I had just gone through three birthdays," Ailyn recalled. "I was so touched and I said yes" she added.
For their pre-wedding session, the couple sought help from Hong Ray Photography who suggested several natural wonders in Western Australia. "Over the years, I've travelled around most of the nice places near Perth, and I was running out of spots," said the photographer. "Luckily, I found Lancelin Sand Dunes and the Pinnacles," he added.
Steven and Ailyn turned out to be quite an adventurous couple and took on the challenge without hesitation. Unfortunately, some difficulties emerged on the day of the shoot. "After taking a three-hour drive to the Pinnacles, we found it hard to find good photo spots. When we got to the Lancelin Sand Dunes, most of the dunes were occupied by tourists. Also, the strong wind kept blowing sand to our eyes!" he said.
Throughout the shoot, Hong Ray asked the couple to think about the first time they met. "To create genuine emotions and make meaningful photos that they will remember for years," he said. The three of them then headed to Lancelin Beach to take pictures by the beach. "I'm so happy that all of our research, planning, and efforts paid off with such beautiful photos!" said the photographer.
