Bianca and Kevin met each other casually through mutual friends in Melbourne. As it turns out, Kevin's proposal also came quite casually. "He popped the question during a weekend getaway to Singapore. The ring box featured a photo of my dog. I couldn't say no," Bianca recalled. After the proposal, the couple started planning right away. "It took about a year. It was rather easy because I had a rock-star maid-of-honor, my sister, and our parents were very supportive. We also engaged a wedding stylist, decorator, and wedding planner who helped with everything," she added.
The night before their wedding day, the couple invited all their friends and family for a welcome dinner at the venue. The garden area of Alila Villas Uluwatu was transformed into a Bohemian lounge, complete with rugs, pillow, tenun curtains and rattan lanterns. Marsala colored flowers were placed on the tables, which enhanced the desired atmosphere of the day. For their wedding the next day, the couple took a different turn. As it's held in Bali, they wanted their wedding theme to be in line with the location. "We both loved chic and simple designs. So I would say the theme is neutrals, chic and inspired by nature," Bianca said firmly.
On the wedding day, the bride admitted to feeling pretty chill, until before the ceremony at least. "All the emotions suddenly flowed when the ceremony was about to start. It was quite nerve-racking," said the bride. But the beauty of the ceremony stole her heart. The wedding aisle over the water, clear wedding altar with inverted lilies and the magnificent sea and skies in front of them made for an enchanting atmosphere. The bride herself looked ravishing in an Ines DiSanto wedding dress and a veil by SVARNA by IKAT Indonesia Didiet Maulana. "I wanted something timeless and classic, yet comfortable. A dress I wouldn't have to diet first to look good in," Bianca said.
As the couple took time having their couple shots after the ceremony, the reception area was already decorated with lush white flower arrangements and greeneries. The night unfolded as the guests dined and we couldn't help but notice the happy expressions from the couple's faces. "The golden soba statues spread throughout the reception dinner tables, the perfect weather, the heartwarming speeches, bridesmaid dresses by Didiet Maulana, the food, the fun guests, the list goes on. We truly loved everything about our wedding," Bianca reminisced. "In short, it was better than expected. We're entirely happy," she added.
