Tina and Moko's romance was sparked by an unplanned vacation to Singapore. "I wanted to watch The Lion King musical at Marina Bay Sands and was looking for company. Unexpectedly, Moko volunteered to join me. He even brought along his family!" Tina recalled. After the trip, the two got closer and eventually started dating. "We dated for quite some time. The proposal finally happened after a business trip to Bali. We were on a plane at 32,000 feet high when he popped the question. It wasn't as romantic as in the movies, but it did make me smile during the whole flight home," Tina added.
Their wedding theme was modern-minimalist with a pristine white palette and hints of silver. This came as an obvious choice, as Moko and Tina both love everything simple and monochromatic. "We got really excited preparing the details, especially the invitations. I gathered the inspirations while Moko focused on the production. He even embossed the seals himself!" said Tina.
Aside from the invitations, the pair's decorations, favors, and wedding cake were all on point. The real showstopper, however, was Tina's dress. The high-collared dress fitted her body perfectly and she looked like a real-life Princess Leia. This stunning dress has an interesting story behind it. "At first, my designer, Yogie Pratama made me a modern lace dress. On the first fitting, he knew then and there that the dress wasn't 'me'. So, three weeks before the wedding, he decided to make a completely new dress," said Tina. "He drew inspiration from the sci-fi movie, Sky Captain and the Day After Tomorrow, and 1940s fashion," she added.
If there's one thing Tina can advise to brides-to-be, it's to not underestimate the rundown and RSVP. The couple had planned an intimate wedding with only 200 guests, but the number of people who actually came had doubled before they knew it. "RSVP is very important especially if you're planning an intimate wedding. We also didn't pay much attention to the rundown, so our reception didn't run smoothly. Thankfully, everyone still had a great time!"
