Melovie and Reza's relationship began as no more than long-distance friends. Melovie lived in Jakarta, while Reza lived in Medan. They were introduced by Melovie's friend a long time ago and exchanged contacts immediately. "Back then, I didn't imagine to pursue a romantic relationship with Reza. I had only known him in short, and having to be in a long distance relationship right away didn't seem right," Melovie confessed. Little did she know that two years later, Reza would surprise her.
Reza couldn't keep his feelings any longer when he decided to call Melovie for a meet up in Jakarta. When he told her that he loved her, Melovie was utterly shocked, as they weren't very close before they met. Panicked, she called her friend to pick her up. However, after a week of consideration, she decided to accept Reza as her boyfriend.
A ton of reasons came to Reza's mind when asked why Melovie was the one for him. "The major thing is comfort. Melovie accepts me as who I really am without trying to change me into a projection of a better person."
Far before they planned on getting married, Melovie caught a glimpse of Leo Vir's work on Instagram. From that moment, she promised herself to hire Leovir as her pre-wedding photographer. As she expected, Leo Vir brought her dream pre-wedding shoot into reality without discrediting her and Reza's identities. Leo Vir himself was excited when approached by Melovie and Reza to do their photo shoot.
He asked the lovebirds to pick three concepts. Melovie chose the traditional Chinese culture concept for for the first theme, in addition to pay a tribute to Reza's cultural background. She decided to add a classy and elegant Victorian touch for their second concept. The last concept was a modern vintage theme which was then chosen as their wedding invitation's main visual.
