Diny and Uta had actually met years ago, yet they never talked to one another back then. "We have the same circle of friends, so we bumped into each other every once in a while," said Diny. In the end, it was their love of photography that united this lovely pair. "One day, I found a camera in my friend's car. As I was taking pictures with it, I found out that it was Uta's camera," she recalled.
A while later, they met again at a friend's birthday party. "We didn't talk at all, but I wanted to ask something about his camera. So, I asked my friend for his number. Little did I know, Uta had already expressed his interest in me to this friend of mine!" reminisced Diny. Seeing a chance to bring them together, the friend quickly added Diny's number to Uta's phone. "Since then, we've never spent a day without talking to each other," said Diny.
The pair turned out to have similar tastes in music, fashion, and just about everything else. "We're opposites in terms of personality, but both our differences and similarities have kept us together even through two long-distance relationships," shared Diny. Wanting to turn their passion into a source of livelihood, they soon established a photography business named Tala in December 2015.
Assisted by the Tala team, Diny and Gautama wanted to showcase their personality through three different pre-wedding photo concepts. "The first one was a black-and-white shoot. We played around with shadows to bring out our character and chemistry," she explained. For the second session, Diny and Uta simply had fun with muted, neutral tones. "The last one was inspired by Kana, our favorite local clothing brand," Diny continued.
Completing the shoot is a pre-wedding video of Diny and Uta doing another thing that they both love. "We're not professional cyclists, but we love cycling so much that we wanted it to play a part in our big day," explained Dini, "The ending scene is just so meaningful for us, as it represents the support we give to one another."
