We welcome you to these sweethearts' special day all the way down in South Africa. This couple shows that love can conquer all, especially when a lot of effort is given in a relationship. The first time Janlo and Melanie met, they fell in love right away. They are both really organized yet also share refreshing and easy personalities. Although their wedding was so detailed and beautifully designed, their party was relaxed and fun. Inspired by Melanie's stunning gold-and-black ring, they decided to add a touch of sparkle to their wedding decoration. The combination of black and gold definitely gave a luxurious feel to the wedding. Their reception was not too simple yet not over the top either; it was everything they ever wanted. We adore how they combined all the elements together in such harmony in only 18 weeks. The most important thing is that they both showed up glowing and filled with love, wearing matching black attire, which is a unique alternative to the usual white wedding dress!

A little story from the bride:
Our eyes met in a passing glance, a fleeting one, but a moment just long enough to lure us into embarking on an intriguing journey. An adventure filled with the promise of the ultimate discovery. When he finally mustered up the courage to introduce himself, unbeknownst to him, I wasn't feeling too well and the quick introduction left a lot to be desired. Not one for being easily discouraged, Janlo, with the help of a few friends organized a social – this time he didn't leave anything to chance and we spent the rest of the night talking non-stop. The next day he called me up for coffee and a walk on the beach. There was so much fun and laughter and from then on we spent almost every day together. To say the least, we could not get enough of each other. After a trip to visit good friends of ours, we stopped at the beach for a walk. There was no one there and it was a beautiful day. Janlo asked if he could read something that he had written for me and even though I had no idea what was about to transpire, he read this beautiful piece about me and his dream for our future. That's when he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. We wanted to get married as soon as possible and literally planned our wedding in eight weeks. There was little time to second guess yourself. I have so many talented friends and family members who all worked together to help pull it off. We decided to go with a black, gold, and white theme – inspired by my gorgeous ring, of course. I just wanted our wedding to be elegant, not too over the top but not too simple either. Because of the time constraints, we didn't go for anything that would take a lot of time or would require too much effort. I knew everything was absolutely perfect once I got to the end of the aisle and placed my hand in Janlo's.
