Michelle and Sean first met back in 2008. "We were introduced at my sister's wedding; Sean is the groom's childhood friend. Apart from the cursory 'hello', we barely spoke to one another," recalled today's beautiful bride. Four years later, their paths crossed again. "We both attended my brother-in-law's birthday party, but Sean was too shy to make the first move. After bumping into each other a few more times in the next year, he added my Facebook account. Even after that, he still waited a year to message me!" recalled Michelle.
Even so, their love didn't take long to blossom. "I realized that we have a lot in common; our values, goals, and hopes for the future," said Sean. Michelle herself was smitten by his selflessness and kind heart. "He's always open to new experiences and it makes life with him so exciting. We constantly push our limits and strive to become better versions of ourselves," she explained.
One day, Sean brought Michelle along to his sister's wedding in Los Angeles, California. "I asked her to go on a road trip with me after the wedding and secretly planned a route that passed through Napa Valley. I popped the question as we were walking in the vineyards," Sean reminisced. Michelle added her take on the proposal, "It was so unexpected, but it was perfect. He knew exactly how I would've liked it. I couldn't stop crying for quite some time too!"
Michelle had always envisioned having a wedding filled with plum and purple flowers, and she picked a wonderful team of vendors to realize that vision. "Jessica from Wedrock Weddings did the perfect styling. Banquet managers from Amara Sanctuary, our venue, were also very helpful. Not to mention our photographer, Annabel Law who was a godsend and helped us a lot throughout the day," she enthused.
Another thing that stood out was the couple's wedding playlist. "We played rock music from the 1950s all the way to today's popular music, focusing on the 1980s. Our guests couldn't help but sing along while they were eating!" Michelle said. Yet above all the festivities, a single moment stood out for Sean, "Watching my bride arrive at the glass pavilion for the ceremony while soft instrumental music played in the background was the most unforgettable moment of that day."
