You might remember Aida and Ferhat for their adventurous pre-wedding photo shoot we posted last week. After dating for four years, this lovely couple finally tied the knot at the charming Plataran Cilandak in Jakarta. They decided to throw a traditional outdoor wedding, embracing their Betawi and Palembang cultural heritage.
As expected from a cultural wedding, their whole celebration was so festive and exciting to watch. An especially interesting ritual was the Palang Pintu welcoming ceremony, in which Ferhat's family had to "fight" Aida's family to enter her house. After this fun ritual passed, it was time for the akad nikah ceremony.
Later that night, they had a glamorous dinner reception to continue the excitement. This time, the couple had already changed into traditional Palembang attires. The venue was decorated so beautifully with rustic details and colorful flowers, Despite the heavy rain, everyone decided to embrace every precious moment and have the time of their lives.
