A relaxing, one-of-a-kind and intimate wedding somewhere near the beach has always been a dream of Christy and Daniel. "When we asked Christy about the one thing that reminds them of each other that we can use for the wedding, she answered 'eucalyptus' without any hesitation," recalled Dimitri of Dimitri Events. Back in the dating age, Christy and Daniel used to send each other eucalyptus-scented candles. Thus, it is for a meaningful reason that they eventually picked the evergreen plant as a symbol of the wedding.
The eucalyptus was then incorporated into the elements of the wedding, to convey the couple's story. Just take a look at their invitation suite and stationery set! The invitation designer was asked to form an illustration of eucalyptus on handmade paper, to evoke a more organic feeling. "Real eucalyptus was also used in Christy's wedding bouquet and as part of the floral design for the entire wedding decoration," Dimitri explained further.
Blessed with such lush surroundings in Ayana Resort & Spa, Bali, they decided not to compete with the beautiful Mother Nature. Hence, the pair only picked the colors white and grey to represent their favorite season, which is winter. And then, extending the color palette selection to livelier shades, such as green, light blue, and deep brown which were the combination of the couple's favorite colors.
Another unexpectedly personal element was revealed as we gazed upon the bride's veil. The bride especially had her prayers for Daniel embroidered on its tip and selected a strapless dress by Hian Tjen to complete her bridal look. Aside from the beautiful elements, the wedding itself turned out to be a great success as well. Dimitri said, "They were many surprise videos and performances by the couple's dearest family and friends during the reception, bringing so much happy tears for everyone who witnessed it."
