In the past few years, boudoir sessions have become quite a trend among brides-to-be. This intimate photo shoot is a fun and sexy way to capture the bride's beauty shortly before her special day. Some brides even schedule their shoot a month prior to the celebration and give the photo album to their spouse on the wedding day!
When it comes to boudoir shoots, there are a few things that you should remember. Simple props or more elaborate decorations are useful for evoking a certain mood. As you can see from the photos above, even sparse table settings can do wonders.
Wearing robes in different colors and materials is also an easy way to add variety to your boudoir photos. For a feminine feel, opt for lace robes in soft shades. Meanwhile, silk robes with tropical patterns or vibrant colors will add a fresh and somewhat playful vibe to the photos.
Aside from getting hair and makeup professionally done, Joshua from Project JDG Photo also suggested brides to have manicure, pedicure, and other grooming sessions prior to the shooting day. Doing so ensures that all the little details will be finely captured in the photos.
It's normal to have doubts when having a boudoir session, as not everyone is comfortable with being exposed in front of a camera. You can simply talk to your photographer about your most comfortable angles. Also, let them know how much you're willing to explore so you would know what to expect on the shooting day.
