Zindy and Sidharta had long been close friends before they decided to start a relationship. "Tata is the brother of my best friend's fiancé and we've known each other for ages," said Zindy. When they decided to get married years later, Sidharta was working in the United States while Zindy still lived in Indonesia. "There wasn't really a wedding proposal, as we simply discussed marriage through Facetime. He asked for my parents' permission through Facetime as well," she continued. It wasn't until later on that Sidharta and his family formally asked for her hand in marriage.
Although they were in a long-distance relationship, Zindy and Sidharta didn't encounter many problems during their eight-month wedding planning. "We planned everything together despite having different time zones. Thankfully, our friends and wedding planner helped us a lot throughout the whole process," explained Zindy.
Zindy and Sidharta's hard work finally paid off on the wedding day, when Elior Design transformed their venue into a starry outdoor setting complete with lanterns and fairy lights. "The night was breezy and our venue, Maxi's Resto, managed to pull off the ambience of the city. It was such a great place for sharing our happiness," said Zindy. Enhancing the lovely atmosphere even further, Nala Nali Stringquartet played a string of the couple's favorite tunes. "Our playlist included the Super Mario Bros theme song, The Beatles, even Debussy!" Zindy reminisced.
The bride herself was gorgeous in a delicate beaded dress with a long cape by Verena Mia. Standing next to her, Sidharta looked dapper in a Calvin Klein suit. Punyan Photography and Arief Haskara of Sienty-Arief Photography skillfully captured so many beautiful moments throughout the day, turning them into photos worth remembering for a lifetime.
Reflecting on her own experience, Zindy has a few tips for future brides planning their dream wedding. "Most people don't prioritize this, but it's important to have a good wedding organizer, MC, and music. Also don't get too stressed out about the wedding planning and try to stay relaxed on the big day. Finally, always manage your expectations," she said.
