Lava is about a volcano called Uku in the middle of the Pacific ocean. Uku watched all the sea creatures, and the clouds too, with their mates. He started to feel lonely and wanted to have his own someone too. So he sang a lovely song to express his manifested love. For hundreds of years, he kept singing and hoping that his love will come one day, and little that he knew, there's another volcano named Lele under the sea, and she was actually listening to his song the whole time and has fallen in love with him. When Lele finally emerged, she emerged in the different direction so she couldn't see Uku, as Uku slowly became extinct. Uku sinks heartbrokenly but revived when he heard Lele singing his song to him. He erupted back to the surface and finally this time right next to Lele. The two volcanoes then formed an island where they live happily together.

You might wonder why we're even talking about this short animated film. We thought Lava taught us a great love lesson we all should learn from it. It's amazing how a 5-minute musical film could give such love lesson. And here's what we think about it.

Keep singing your heart out

Uku teaches us to be able to sing our heart out, to express what we really feel from the bottom of our heart and consistent to be truthfully honest no matter how others try not to listen to the song because someone actually listens to it.

Don't compare your life with others

Uku watches the wildlife creatures frolic with their mates and hopes to find one of his own. It's normal to feel some kind of jealousy, but you must remember that being single isn't that sad. It's just you have yet to find the right one to give your love to.

Don't lose hope, keep your faith

To not lose hope, you must have faith. Things will work out well, may not come on your timeline, but have faith and miracles will occur.

Don't always look straight ahead.

Lele was looking in the wrong direction and couldn't see the sinking Uku just behind her. We probably are too focused to look straight ahead finding Mr. Right, not realizing that the right one might be the one that always got our back.
