You've got many friends and they're all available to be your bridesmaids. So, which ones will you choose? How many will you choose? Choosing the maids for the biggest day of your life is an exciting, heartwarming, yet tricky affair. There is no right or wrong, nor are there specific rules to play when it comes to choosing your bridesmaids.
Choosing your bridesmaids can be confusing. Let us share with you some pointers to make it easier:
1. Choose the ones who make you happy.
Weddings are emotional, especially for the bride-to-be. You need to realize that this is your wedding day and that you need to think about you. Surround yourself with the people who make you happy. Choose the ones you want by your side through every step of your wedding planning journey until your big day.
2. Remember that bridesmaids have responsibilities too.
A bridesmaid plays an important role in a wedding. More than to console and comfort the bride, she needs to multitask and help to plan some events for the bride-to-be, such as throwing her a bridal shower, and prepare the gate crashing activities. So, consider choosing the ones who can carry out these duties well but have a whole lot of fun with you too.
3. Pick a number and stick with it.
By determining how many bridesmaids you will have, you can already calculate your budget and how much you will spend on your bridesmaids - travel expenses, dresses, make up and hair do, etc. Pick a number that suits your budget best.
