Classic with a twist
If you don't want to stray too far from classic silhouettes, take some cues from these designers. Thanks to its shiny material, Lanvin's halter-neck sheath dress has a futuristic feel that contrasts beautifully with its classic shape. Meanwhile, Maticevski showed that abstract embroidery can make a plain white dress look much more interesting.
Esteban Cortazar gave us another great idea; spice up a plain dress with patterns on the neck and wrists! Last but not least is an off-the-shoulder Vera Wang piece accentuated with black long sleeves and a long train. So chic!

Fringes and ruffles
Fringes and ruffles will make your wedding or after-party dress look extra special. We absolutely adore the Zuhair Murad gown on the left, which combines intricate embroidery with flirty fringes. Maticevski's asymmetrical dress with its layered ruffles will suit more relaxed, contemporary celebrations. Let your bridesmaids in on the fun through these adorable dresses by Giambattista Valli. We especially love the ruffles that run along the sleeves, adding a touch of playfulness.

Fashion-forward gowns
If you're a fashionable bride who loves to take on a challenge, these Balenciaga and Maticevski dresses will blow you away. The Balenciaga piece is particularly eye-catching with its balloon skirt and 3D appliqués, while the Maticevski dress combines a textured skirt and see-through fabric. Two other dresses by Maticevski also caught our attention. The left one features an interesting detail on the front, while the one on the right flaunts a unique shape and skirt slit. Would you wear these dresses for your big day?

See-through skirt
Behold the see-through skirt, another gorgeous trend we saw on the runway. Airy, transparent materials will easily add a sultry touch even to a plain skirt. For even better results, pair see-through details with patterns. Take a look at these glamorous Reem Acra and Elie Saab dresses that wouldn't look out of place during an extravagant after-party.

Bold colors
We couldn't take our eyes off of the bold-colored dresses that paraded the runway. If you're throwing a ballroom wedding, consider these two colorful gowns by Elie Saab that will make you look as glamorous as a Hollywood starlet. For the bridesmaids, try calf-length dresses with bright colors like these ones by Valentino. Spice them up with some simple accessories in contrasting colors.

Winter brides
Don't let the winter breeze stop you from looking gorgeous on the big day. These glamorous outfits by Chanel and Dior will keep you warm throughout your winter wedding. Just pair them with ankle boots and hair accessories, and you're all set! Alternatively, take some notes from Maticevski and pair a classic wedding dress with toasty layers such as a turtleneck sweater, thick tights, and thigh-high boots.

Pretty patterns
Without a doubt, these stunning dresses will turn heads during your wedding reception. Reem Acra showed us that patterns, big and small, can pair well with a classic ball gown silhouette. As the dress is already very striking, put on minimal accessories, if any, to avoid sensory overload. Patterns will also look great on your bridesmaids. Keep your dress plain if your girls are wearing patterned dresses, and avoid using different patterns for each bridesmaid. This way, there won't be too much going on when you take photos together.

Retro chic
If you're throwing a vintage-inspired wedding, look no further for the perfect dress. High necklines and balloon sleeves instill a retro feel to these blush Elie Saab gowns. Meanwhile, the see-through details on both the bodice and skirt give them a modern touch. The black dress by Chanel, with its fur-like details, will let your bridesmaids channel a retro-glam vibe throughout the celebration. The navy Dior dress has a somewhat preppy look that would also complement a vintage wedding nicely.

Shimmering sequins
Another trend we spotted throughout Paris Fashion Week: sequins that shimmered along the runway. With the right style, sequined dresses won't look tacky or over-the-top for a glamorous celebration. Just look at this figure-hugging piece by Valentin Yudashkin and the blue ombré dress by Christian Dior; simply irresistible. For your bridesmaids, a fully-sequined dress can also be an interesting choice. Either short or long, these dresses can instantly enliven your bridal party line-up.

Aside from black, different shades of red also made a comeback on the runway. Givenchy even created a collection filled with only this color! These daring yet elegant dresses will fit in well in your Chinese tea ceremony or even after-party.
