RUSTIC GRAZING TABLE
by Bloc Memoire Photography

Updated on 19 September 2017, Singapore

"Guan Hui and Silvia from Bloc Memoire first came up with the initial concept of a rustic setting for this styled photoshoot, using a neutral but impactful palette of blush, nude, hazelnut brown and asphalt grey mixed with elements of platinum and gold to give it a glamorous feel. The mood we wanted to go for was a little on the wild side, but at the same time both modern and stylish. The colours and textures featured convey this mood. The gown by Caramel & Co was both ethereal and glamorous with lots of gorgeous beading, and it was complemented by beautiful jewellery from Pinwheel Jewels and hair and makeup inspired by the coming of spring using soft colours for a radiant finish. The florals also carried this theme across with the use of slightly more unusual flowers and foliage such as artichokes, brassica, berries & anemones arranged in an asymmetrical free-flowing style. For the styling and décor, I kept it pretty simple, using a lot of natural colours, foliage and wood, incorporating metallic gold & silver elements through the vases and crockery. We wanted something simple, so there was no tablecloth or elaborate settings. This allowed the vintage table and chairs to be one of the main features, along with the food and flowers. The stationery was also kept simple, featuring modern calligraphy by Happy Hands Project. We wanted to do something different, so rather than having a dessert table (even though we love desserts so much!) we decided to feature a grazing table instead! A grazing table is great for those who don’t have a sweet tooth, or prefer the savoury goodness of cheese and charcuterie. Presented well, it can offer similar visual impact to a dessert table. Cheeses come in a variety of colours and shapes and can be easily dressed up with fruit, which bring pops of colour and contrast to the table. Add some charcuterie meats, or even antipasti like olives for even greater variety that’s certain to wow your guests!" ~ Eunice, Heaven in a Wild Flower
