    Lack of Organization & Lack of Empathy

    Choose Bali Diva if you want a wedding planner that's unprofessional, poorly organized, and utterly lacking in basic human empathy. As we live in Singapore, I thought they would help make planning a wedding in Bali much easier, but after I paid the 50% deposit for the whole wedding cost, their quality went downhill fast. First, it took them two months to answer basic questions like “What are the rates for additional villas?”. Next, when my husband arranged to have a face-to-face meeting with them a month in advance, Maya, the owner of Bali Diva and our key point of contact, cancelled one week before, forgetting she had another trip, and left her assistant Grace to meet him; it seems there was no communication though, because Grace forgot she was scheduled to meet him and had arranged another meeting with someone else at the same time! Last minute, Hilda, another team member, had the meeting though we were never in contact with her before. Little did I expect that the poor management and coordination of the team were just small problems. It turned out the greater issue was their complete lack of compassion and transparency. Sadly, my husband and I never got to have our Bali reception because he passed away suddenly 8 months before our wedding date, and the Bali Diva team have not made things any easier. I knew that as per the terms of the invoice, the 50% deposit was non-refundable, but I appealed to Bali Diva's team to see if anything at all could be refunded, given the very tragic circumstances and the fact that it was still 8 months before the planned wedding. At first, they SEEMED sympathetic and promised to meet with all the vendors to see who would be willing to refund deposits. However, we got no updates for three months, even if my Indonesian friend helped me to regularly follow up with them. Finally, they informed me that no money at all would be refunded as per the contract, giving me zero updates on who they talked to if at all. Exasperated, my friend and I decided to take the initiative to reach out to vendors that we could get a hold of ourselves. It turns out the Church was more than willing to refund me given my circumstances, but I found out the deposit they received was just a TINY FRACTION of the church deposit breakdown I had paid to Bali Diva. Another vendor confirmed that they had NOT even been paid a deposit by the planner. The only explanation Bali Diva gave me for the delay was that Maya had some personal health issues, although it doesn't explain why the rest of the rest of the team took so long to respond when not all deposits had been paid anyway! I understand the purpose of a non-refundable deposit is to protect wedding vendors from losing money spent in case a wedding is cancelled. Yet, it is obvious that Bali Diva had NOT paid out all of the money I transferred as deposits to vendors. Despite this, they have chosen to make no refunds and benefit from my husband's death. I don't wish for my situation to happen to anybody. If you are planning your wedding, DO NOT work with wedding planners that ask for such a large deposit with such an inflexible refund policy, and make sure that the planner you are working with is not as cold hearted as this one.

    An honest Review

    I've been wanting to write an honest review like this for a while since our wedding day on the 9th of September 2017. But, due to one reason and another i decided to just let it go. However, i felt like i have to write this. For everyones sake too.\n\nI contacted Maya when she was still working for her previous EO company, Mrs Always Right. At first, i was quite impress on how she is very eager in helping me to make my dream wedding come true and always follow up with her recomendation for the wedding vendors too. So, we decided to choose her for our wedding planner 1 year before our D day. \n\nFor some reason, when i signed the contract it was under Bali Diva Wedding and not Mrs Always right which only i realized after i signed the contract. Everything went quite smooth for the planning. I had my chosen vendors and they were helping me with organizing them. Meanwhile, Maya also introduced her cousin Grace to me too. \n\nFew weeks before the wedding day, Grace told me that maya couldnt make it to my wedding due to her health issue. So that it will only be Grace and the team. When it get closer to the wedding day, Me and Yohan had already started sensing stg that is not right. Lack of organization, experience and profesionalism of the team. From when they came late to the GR. we were supposed to do the GR but infact it was only a quick briefing and gathering with the vendor team. \n\nThen came to the wedding day. It was already a mess since the day started very early morning. First of all, the team themselves they dont really introduce theirself to me not even Yohan. I had to ask this young lady whether she is my assistant or not. This girl she is really unexperience with wedding and you can tell. she doesnt know what to do and how things work. \n\nAfter the make up done, when the groom had to pick up the bride to go to church. They dont know how the ceremony works. As for me that never done this before, was expecting the EO can actually guide us on what we should do. At the end, it was the photographer that tell us what to do. Then the church, there should be always someone standby close to us incase stg went wrong. But we couldnt find a single head of them when we were looking for the Bouquet to present it to Mother Maria. We had been talking about this since forever, so they should at least double check it for us. At the end, we didnt have them. Eventhough the bouquet is part of the church decor team responsibilty but as an EO they should have check it for us too to make sure everything went smoothly. So many shortfalls happened due to lack of organization. Also, not forget to mention that they only put 5 people on the floor for 150 pax wedding scale in a huge Villa in Karang Putih. Can you imagine? And only Grace that actually know her job. The rest are just so so. Eventhough they work hard but just lack of experience not knowing what to do. \n\nI have to sadly say that everything went wrong on the day. Like what my sister told them, they kinda ruined everything(sorry to say). They were very lacking in experience with wedding. Has to be prompted all the time. And the fee they charged us was quite expensive too compare to what we get in return. Seriously, If i knew they will do this bad, i'll rather not getting the 2-3 mio discounts Maya gave me and hired other EO that has more name and more experience. I won't even use them at all! I am so sure that My mom or sister can do way better than them. Not only my Family, even my friends were very dissapointed with the EO. The one that came later in the evening can spot on right away that the EO was bad. Not mentioning the one that has attended since the morning Holy Matrimony. \n\nOverall, me and my husband were really dissapointed with them. This is actually my first time writing a bad review and actually took time writing it. I hope this can help future brides and grooms to choose their Wedding Planner wisely. Don't make the same mistake like we did.

    Wedding Dream Come True

    Matthijs and I did our research to find a wedding planner for our wedding in Bali. After some discussion, we finally chose Bali Diva Wedding. Maya was very helpful in finding us the best wedding venue. We requested for a private wedding venue, clifftop view for approximately 150pax. So we finally got married few days ago and arrive in Bali 3 days before the wedding. Bali Diva Team arranged us a final meeting with all related parties to ensure that everything would be ready and clear for the wedding day. The wedding was so beautiful and lovely. We were happy. Bali diva team helped us finding the MC, and I am very satisfied with Krishna! He handled the situation very well and so funny. Highly recommended! Furthermore, I would like to thank Grace personally. She was really helpful from the start of planning until our wedding day. I must say Grace was very responsive and very friendly.     Bali Diva it's so higtly recommeded

    The first time I look for a vendor to plan our wedding in Bali, I get special offers from bali diva, where the offer is reasonable and in accordance with our budget. Arriving there we were ushered to the villa plataran. that so amazing and wonderful place. our wedding holly ceremony and romantic dinners a series of events that by Maya, Grace n team it's so extraordinary. everything will not be forgotten. thank you so much for our friends bali diva, plataran menjangan, to Pastor who blassed our meriage, makeup artist couple romantic, flower decoration and funny photo grafer. continue to work to create more happiness. ^-^
