"White Sands in New Mexico" Christian & Sasha by Dre

I have always dreamed of bringing a couple there for a prewed shoot ever since I stepped foot into the state of New Mexico many years ago for a family vacation. The state is simply magical. Its pretty much public knowledge that I have a soft spot for landscapes. New Mexico offers a nice variety and some of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. One of the locations in New Mexico that struck me in particular is called White Sands National Monument. Like the name suggests, this is a desert with pure white sand! It is unlike any other deserts that i have ever been to. You might have even seen this amazing location in movies, such as in Transformers and The Book of Eli. The only downside is that it is located quite remotely in the southern tip of the state. This is where Chris and Sasha came into the picture. They have been studying and living in Los Angeles for many years and wanted to shoot in a unique location, somewhere not mainstream. They were unexpectedly the crazy and adventurous couple and they bought into my idea of going into New Mexico in a blink of an eye. I met Chris and Sasha for the first time at LAX and I was under the impression that they are the quiet type of couple. But when it was time to shoot, they both were such a joy to work with. They have such a strong chemistry. One of the things I admire about them is their selfless love for each other. We immediately hit it off and together with Yuri, the MUA extraordinaire, we had the time of our lives traveling and shooting through New Mexico and Los Angeles! The highlight of our shoot has to be the ones taken in White Sands! Believe me, it looks even better in real life than in the pictures! The landscape was truly jaw-dropping! It was an unforgettable and epic experience! Thank you, Chris and Sasha, for trusting my artistic direction and for your friendship!
