A Flamboyant Wedding With Shades of Red, Black and Gold

Despite having only 3 months to prepare the wedding, Sadaf and Soroush really have given a thorough thought for their nuptial celebration and are determined to go with certain elements that enhanced the whole affair. For the ceremony, Sadaf had on a beautiful sparkly ball gown, intricately detailed on the bodice and paired it with gold colored shoes for extra glamour. Stepping out of the ordinary, Sadaf assigned the color black for her bridesmaids to wear. Amazingly, the color looked royal and luxurious on them without seeming drab or dull. Soroush also set himself in tone by wearing the classic black tux accompanied by groomsmen with solitaire red rose boutonnieres.

After officially been pronounced man and wife, comes the beautiful reception. The grand ballroom of Fairmont Hotel, British Columbia, has been lavishly decorated with long tables, red flowers, and flower centerpieces, perfectly complimenting the gold and white dominated venue. To add in the merry, the couple provided individual servings of wine as favors and entertained their guests with a flamenco dance performance. To wonderfully finish the beautiful night, the couple had not one, not two, not even three, but five cakes of different style and shape to cut as a symbol of their embarking marriage journey.

Here's the bride, sharing a bit of her story:

We picked February 28, 2015 - only 3 months after Soroush proposed to me - as our wedding date. As I went through the wedding magazines and websites, I realized 95% of all weddings are pale blush colored. All beautiful and dreamy of course, but after some thinking I decided to go darker and bolder. And so the color scheme was chosen to be red, gold and black. In the short amount of time that I had, I managed to find the perfect dresses for my bridesmaid and customize my wedding dress, cake design and everything else. When everything was put together and I walked into the reception I could not be happier. It was the warmest, lushest and the most romantic wedding reception ever. Our head table, where I had our whole family sit together, was the longest and it looked so regal. For the short amount of time I had to find a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and all the elements for the ceremony and reception I think my wedding was extraordinary, but who does not love their wedding day and everything about it? The fact that every one of our guests loved it and had fun. When they came up to me and said they had never thought red and burgundy flowers would be an option for a wedding and that they loved it, really made me happy.
